From Gary's Desk:
Hello Bluegrass Buddies,
Well spring finally got here and now summer is upon us. As I write this note I am sitting here in our bus in a thunderstorm at the Chumuckla Bluegrass Festival near Pensacola. Our first show is in about 4 hours and the crowd looks great with lots of campers. If you’ve never been here I would recommend this festival to anyone. The staff does a great job of making everyone feel at home. After today we will be at Van Cleave MS. For the Bluff Creek Festival. This festival is only 2 years old but growing at a fast rate.
As most of you know, the past few months have been a difficult time for me and Susan. We have lost our dear mother on March 16 due to complication from her Chemotherapy. She was diagnosed with Colon Cancer in August 2006.she was only 65.our family would like to thank everyone for the outpouring of prayers, cards and letters. Your support and love means so much to us. Please remember us in your prayers still.
The Gary Waldrep Band will soon go into recording studio to start a new CD project. We hope to have it ready by our Festival in September. The fan club is doing a wonderful job at keeping everything running smoothly. We had fan club meeting at Leakesville, MS. Two weeks ago. There was a great turn out. MS. Bertie Sullivan ( Promoter of the Year ) wants us to come back next year and also wants us to have another meet & Greet Meeting, GREAT FESTIVAL BERTIE!!! Well I’ll close for now, got to go get dressed and go pick…..
Love Ya , Gary |

FROM YOUR FAN CLUB PRESIDENT
What a wonderful time to support Gary and the Band!!! We attended the Oak Grave, LA. Festival and had a great week with great weather. This festival was one of the best we have attended in a long time. The building is beautiful and the seartitn was great. The bands were well fed and the workers were so good to everyone. Gary and the bandk wil be back next March as HOST of the three day festival. We encourage everyone to come next year. Lets make this one of the largest festivals around. The fan club signed up 25 new members and had 17 renewals. Please check your cards and send in those dues if you are due. Until next time, God Bless and we’ll see you on the Bluegrass Circuit.

Music with a lsow beat has been provent to regulate our brain waves and promote relaxation. However, many kinds of music can be generally calming. Experiment with various genres to discover the music that relaxes you most.
Recapture Your Inner Child
The pressure to be "grown up" can be considerable. Every now and then release yourself from the burden of adulthood and recapture the spirit of childhood. Take time to look at a flower, watch the sun come up or set and stand in awe of your Creator. Spread your arms wide and spin in a circle (but not if you have vertigo.........LOL). Spend some time appreciating the wonders of the world. Take nothing for granted.
